Purposes of Practicum

This practicum program has served as a transformative experience, equipping us with the tools and confidence needed to navigate the realities of teaching while also shaping us into individuals prepared to face the complexities of the real world. It has provided a comprehensive understanding of what it means to be an educator—balancing academic responsibilities with the personal and professional demands of the profession.

When I first arrived in Bengkulu, I must admit I felt uncertain about whether teaching was the path I wanted to pursue after graduation. The idea of stepping into a classroom and taking on the immense responsibility of shaping young minds seemed daunting. However, this program offered me not only the chance to explore the teaching profession but also the opportunity to immerse myself in a new culture and educational environment, which reignited my passion for education.

Through hands-on teaching experiences, interaction with students, and collaboration with mentors, I discovered the joy and fulfillment that comes from helping students grow and learn. The challenges I faced in adapting to a new environment and overcoming initial self-doubt have strengthened my resolve and deepened my commitment to this noble profession.

I now feel ready to embrace my calling, armed with the skills, confidence, and passion to impart knowledge and make a meaningful difference in the lives of my future students. This program has solidified my belief in the transformative power of education and my role as a catalyst for positive change in the classroom and beyond.
